Series Review: NEVER HAVE I EVER (Season 3)

Hey!

After abandoning this blog for about 2 years, I’m back with my boring review of my one of favourite series on Netflix. Si, it’s Never Have I Ever!!!

Back with season 3, they served us with the consistent jokes that you can relate to daily—not to mention, we get to see THE Paxton Hall-Yoshida.

The hottest main character ever (hehe). Season 3, is all about Characters' Development and I am HERE for it! SHOUT OUT TO MINDY KALING, SHE'S AMAZING!

We may not be seeing Daxton—the ship name of Devi and Paxton, but we surely will see some… other… guy… a guy… hot but not hotter than Paxton (smirk)—ANYWAY…

This season is very realistic. It really showed how high school students want—or are about to fly even higher. This season showed how they are thinking about their future, their college, or experiencing something more challenging in their lives.

Each character got the thing they desired in this season—except maybe for a girl who is exploring her sexuality on the show called Aneesa. I wish they can give her more closure before the end of season 3. I feel like Aneesa deserved more though her closure with the first ex-GIRLFRIEND was enough, I think there were things that the director and writer could explore more from her character. Such an unfortunate…

But well, this season, it didn’t revolve around Ben-Devi-Paxton the way season 1 and 2 did. Despite the chaos that Devi caused in the previous season, they were surprisingly civil to each other which really showed how mature they can be throughout this season.

Ben is still unbearable in some episodes but he also got the closure with his dad which was TOO sweet and he deserved it.

Devi on the other hand was becoming wiser in taking her decision—although some of them were still provoked by her evil thoughts but mostly, she restrained and became a “good” Devi.

Overall, we got to see Paxton but not a lot :( but am I regretting it? No. He had enough and he learned a lot from the previous season. His conciliation with Ben was cute and heartwarming, considering they were both being played by Devi in last season, I never thought they would be okay after that. But again, boys will be boys—bros after girls (I want to say ho3s but I don’t want to make it NFSW lol).

With that being said, I rate this season of NEVER HAVE I EVER 4.5/5⭐!

(I would give it 5/5 but Aneesa, my girl deserves much better, so 4.5 is enough)
